This course is designed for students who have no Chinese language skills but need to learn some speaking Chinese with an emphasis on business situations. 　

　　• Use the Mandarin phonetic system and its four tones.

　　• Produce simple sentences, to formulate and respond to simple questions.

　　• Have a basic knowledge of grammatical structures, including different tenses and word order.

　　• Learn the vocabulary, expressions and appropriate behaviour for various business situations and prepare themselves for the world of business.

After this course students can then choose to enter the Business Chinese Course if they wish to study further.
