This courses are designed to help students develop their language skills and techniques for specific examinations – Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK)，Business Chinese Test (BCT)，AP Chinese，and SAT2 Chinese.

Chinese Proficiency Test – New HSK (汉语水平考试）

Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency for daily, academic and professional lives. HSK consists of six levels, namely HSK (level I), HSK (level II), HSK (level III), HSK (level IV), HSK (level V), and HSK (level VI).

Business Chinese Test (BCT)

Is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency for business or common working environments. BCT (Business Chinese Test) is divided into writing and oral tests, which are independent to each other. The writing test consists of two levels, namely, BCT (A) and BCT (B). BCT（Oral iBT）are Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) and conducted via Internet.

Each course will provides a balance of skills work with an emphasis on the student’s weak areas and the specific requirements of the exam.

You can choose one or a combination of three methods: ‘attend classes in our office,’ ‘online classes,’ or ‘self-study on our website with professional guidance from our teachers.’

Currently, we have three offices available for students to choose for attending classes in the Greater Toronto Area.

For online teaching, we primarily use Skype.

Our introduced method of ‘self-study on our website with professional guidance from our teachers’ can meet various scholars’ different requirements in terms of study time, learning progress, and finances. Our teachers’ professional guidance can help you save time, achieve continuous improvement, maintain motivation, and boost confidence.

Whether it’s in-person or online, in our Group Classes. There is a maximum of five students in each Group Class, you get more attention from the teacher and more opportunity to practice your Mandarin speaking. Each class lasts for one and a half hours.

For Semi-private classes, each class accommodates a maximum of two students, with each class lasting for one hour.

Private classes have only one student at a time, and the class schedule is more flexible, with each class also lasting for one hour.

Group Class costs $268.00 per session,

with each session consisting of six lessons. If a student attends one class per week, it will take six weeks to complete one session. If a student attends two classes per week, it will take three weeks to finish one session.

Semi-private classes are priced at $448.00 per session,

with each session comprising ten lessons. Typically, it takes ten weeks, or two and a half months, to complete one session.

Private classes are priced at $598.00 per session,

with each session also containing ten lessons. Generally, it takes ten weeks, or two and a half months, to complete one session.

Currently, we have new classes starting every week. However, the locations, timings, levels, and learning focuses may vary.

Classes are student-centred and based on the communicative approach to help students learn the grammar and structures.

Speaking activities provide students with a chance to practice grammar points in actual real-life situations through the use of pair work，debates，role plays， discussions，simulations，etc.

Students will make presentations. This will help them to build confidence with Mandarin language，and teacher will give an idea of how easily students able to apply what they have learned.

Homework to ensure the full understanding of materials and functions of the language.

In addition to the textbook，work book，and homework sheets，the audio files will help to ensure student success.

TCA Students are encouraged to join our Friday practice($00) – MST (Mandarin Speaking Time) to practice what they have learned in the class and learn some new as well.
