- Chinese Proficiency Test – HSK (汉语水平考试): for learners who need an internationally recognized Mandarin certificate for university admission, scholarships, work or immigration-related purposes. We prepare students for all levels, under both HSK 2.0 and the new HSK 3.0.
- Business Chinese Test – BCT (商务汉语考试): for professionals who use, or plan to use, Mandarin at work and want to prove their business communication skills.
- AP Chinese: for students preparing for the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam, offered as one-on-one private lessons.

Chinese Proficiency Test – HSK (汉语水平考试)
The Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) is the international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency for daily, academic and professional life. An HSK certificate is widely recognized for university admission, scholarships, and jobs that require Mandarin.

The HSK is moving from HSK 2.0 (six levels) to HSK 3.0, which has "three stages and nine levels": Elementary (Levels 1–3), Intermediate (Levels 4–6), and Advanced (Levels 7–9). HSK 3.0 roughly doubles the vocabulary required at most levels. It also adds character writing from Level 2, replaces many true/false questions with comprehension-based tasks, and introduces translation at the advanced levels. During the transition, the version you sit depends on your test centre and date. We confirm which syllabus applies to you and build your study plan around it.How is HSK 3.0 Different from HSK 2.0？
Business Chinese Test (BCT)
Is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency for business or common working environments. BCT (Business Chinese Test) is divided into writing and oral tests, which are independent to each other. The writing test consists of two levels, namely, BCT (A) and BCT (B). BCT（Oral iBT）are Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) and conducted via Internet.

Each course balances all skills, with extra focus on your weak areas and the specific requirements of your exam level and version (HSK 2.0 or HSK 3.0).
What you'll learn:
• Vocabulary & characters: master the official word list for your level, with systematic review so it sticks
• Grammar: learn the structures on the HSK syllabus and practise them in context
• Listening: train with recordings at real exam speed and get used to the question formats
• Reading: build speed and comprehension with texts on everyday, academic and workplace topics
• Writing: write Chinese characters by hand or by typing, from sentence building to short essays (HSK 3.0 now includes writing from Level 2)
• Speaking (HSKK): practise picture descriptions, answering questions and speaking freely and fluently
• Translation (Levels 7–9): develop Chinese–English translation skills for the advanced levels
• Test strategies: time management, question analysis, and full-length mock exams with detailed feedback
By the end of the course, you'll be ready for exam day and able to use Mandarin with confidence in real life.
You can choose one learning format or combine them to suit your schedule:
1. In-person classes: study face to face with your teacher at one of our three centres in the Greater Toronto Area:

2. Live online classes: join from anywhere in the world through one-on-one or small-group online lessons. For online teaching, we primarily use Microsoft Teams meeting.
3. Guided self-study: study on our website at your own pace, with professional guidance from our teachers.
Guided self-study is ideal if you need flexibility with time, pace or budget. Your teacher keeps you on track, helping you save time, keep improving, stay motivated and build confidence for exam day.
It depends on the class type you choose. All three are available in person or online:
- Group classes: Whether it's in-person or online, in our Group Classes. There is a maximum of five students in each Group Class, you get more attention from the teacher and more opportunity to practice your Mandarin speaking. Each class lasts for one and a half hours.
- Semi-private classes: up to 2 students, 1 hour per class.
- Private classes: 1 student, 1 hour per class, with the most flexible schedule.
Group Classes
Group classes cost $279 per package, which includes 6 lessons. Each lesson lasts 1.5 hours.
- One class per week: Complete the package in 6 weeks.
- Two classes per week: Complete the package in 3 weeks.

Semi-Private Classes
Semi-private classes cost $441 per package, which includes 9 lessons. With one lesson per week, you can complete the package in 9 weeks (approximately 2 months).
Private Classes
Private classes cost $621 per package, which includes 9 lessons. With one lesson per week, you can complete the package in 9 weeks (approximately 2 months).
New classes start every week, so you can begin whenever you're ready. Locations, schedules, levels and learning focus vary from class to class.
